Something I’m Thinking About:
How we start our days can set the entire temperament and pace for the remainder of it.
Below are two morning routines that often I find myself participating in.
Morning Routine #1
Wake Up 1 hour before I need to be somewhere.
Pick up my phone, check Instagram, Reddit & scan my emails.
Wake the kids, shower, eat some breakfast, and get my 6 year old ready and out the door for school.
Morning Routine #2
Wake up 2-3 hours before I need to be somewhere.
Sit and meditate for 15 minutes.
Hop on the bike, get on a yoga mat, or do something else to get the heart moving.
Time permitting, enjoy a cup of coffee on the back patio and write a bit.
Wake the kids, shower, eat some breakfast, and get my 6 year old ready and out the door for school.
My goal is, more often than not, to make mornings look like the latter.
Something I Watched:
OutHorse your Email
Yes, you can hire Icelandic horses to respond to your emails while on vacation.
Is this the new billion dollar startup and if so, would it still be considered a unicorn?
Might it also be a clever marketing campaign to promote tourism to Iceland?
Something I Photographed:
Here’s a picture I took of our new outdoor patio and living space. We finished the pavers a few weeks back and I took advantage of the warm weather this past weekend to dig out the border beds and plant some hibiscus and banana trees.
